Elements - Fires for Sand, Glass and Ash

I don't know if I would call this poem experimental, but I do remember writing it as a non-poem for a completely different project. After some time and distance, it occurred to me that it worked just fine as a poem. I submitted it to a couple places and let the time and distance build again. When it was accepted for publication, I was completely caught off guard. The fine folks at Door is a Jar Literary Magazine published this poem in their Summer 2021 issue.
