This past year, I joined two of my fellow teachers at the Her Voice at the Table blog, a resource dedicated to the education and wellness of students and their writing. To quote the blog itself: "Her Voice at the Table emerged as a space for us to unpack, debrief, discuss, and share our own learning process as we attempt to innovate our writing curriculum and think creatively about supporting the talented and extraordinary students we work with every day." I recently wrote about the experiences of my first year as an English teacher. I also included a piece of gothic fiction I wrote as an exemplar for an early project titled "The Hungering Cat."
